The book The Giving Tree by Shell Silverstein has been a favorite since I was in 5th grade. I had it read it before then but it was the 5th grade that I got it's true meaning. When we give...because we love unconditionally and that giving brings us our greatest joy...then we are happy.
When my son was little I gave this necklace to his elementary school teachers...because I knew they truly understood what it meant to give without expectation.
